Minna No Nihongo II Lesson 48 introduces the causative form, which is used to say make someone do something or let someone do something. This lesson is very important for JLPT N4 grammar, reading, and listening sections.

Sentence Patterns (ぶんけい)

1. むすこを イギリスへ りゅうがく させます

I make my son study abroad in England.

2. むすめに ピアノを ならわせます

I make my daughter learn the piano.

1. この サッカー きょうしつは れんしゅうが きびしい そうです

This soccer school seems to have strict practice.

Yes, they make the children run one kilometer every day.

It is about time I leave.

むすこに えきまで おくらせます

I will make my son take you to the station.

いい せんせいです

He is a good teacher.

せいとに すきな ほんを よませて、じゆうに いけんを いわせます

He lets students read books they like and freely express their opinions.

5. すみません、しばらく ここに くるまを とめさせて いただけませんか

Excuse me, may I park my car here for a while?

Ten days?

ミラー：じつは アメリカの ともだちが けっこん するんです

Actually, my friend in America is getting married.

なかむら かちょう：そうですか. ええと、らいげつは はつかに えいぎょう かいぎが ありますが、それまでに かえれますね

I see. Well, there is a business meeting on the 20th next month, but you can return before that.

ミラー：はい

Yes.

なかむら かちょう：じゃ、かまいませんよ. たのしんで きて ください
