Minna no Nihongo Lesson 43 explains how to talk about how things look and doing something and then coming back in Japanese.
🔹 1) verb (masu-stem) + そうです
Used to say something looks like it will happen, based on what you see.
あめが ふりそうです
→ It looks like it will rain.
あかちゃんが なきそうです
→ The baby looks like it will cry.
🔹 2) い adjective / な adjective + そうです
Used to describe how something looks or seems.
この ケーキは おいしそうです
→ This cake looks delicious.
かれは げんきそうです
→ He looks healthy.
🔹 3) verb て-form + きます
Used when you do something and then come back.
ごはんを たべて きます
→ I will eat and come back.
でんわを して きます
→ I will make a call and come back.
🔹 4) place + へ + いって きます
Used to say you go to a place and then return.
がっこうへ いって きます
→ I will go to school and come back.
スーパーへ いって きます
→ I will go to the supermarket and come back.
🔹 5) でかけて きます
Used to say you go out and will come back, without saying where.
ちょっと でかけて きます
→ I will go out for a bit.
ともだちと でかけて きます
→ I will go out with a friend.
